The girl playing the violin is the girl I’m talking to. She has a band, sings, and plays many other instruments. (dies all over the place in exasperation)

There’s this girl, and she makes me wring my hands with glee. Breathe, Ash.

an observation
I’m realizing new layers within my layers. I stepped up on a stage in tenth grade, and it opened up by eyes as well as my heart. I didn’t want my shyness to be my identity, I had a layer that was actually this quirky, funny person who genuinely liked opening up to people. I let that come out and it molded into something that made me likable. I started to speak up more, and people not...

keep your sense of wonder.
photojojo: We’re convinced some photographers are born with a rather rare yet want-worthy ambition gene. Chris Kotsiopoulos is one of these photographers; his most recent endeavor: is it possible to capture a 24-hour day in one photograph? (The answer is yes!) How to Fit 24 Hours into One Photo

lack of minerals
I miss summer. I miss sitting on lifeguard posts and waiting for the sun to rise or walking the shoreline as the horizon masks my body in golds. Apparently my having Vitamin D deficiency [levels: 17.8 instead of an average of 32-100] is just a lack of sunshine, so the answer is clear: warm weather come quickly.  I need to go frolicking. p.s. I can always rely on Manni to be a good model ♥

calm breezes.
Needed change, so I spent the day tearing down the old and putting up the new. Very thankful to Miss Rachel who donated beachy things and collages to me as well as to all the friends who are either making or printing donations towards the future. I will take my time finishing up the collage, but overall today really mellowed me out. I can’t wait to put up more! <3

trickles
Actually first written today on my blogspot, so I’m all up to date now. Going through a break up from a serious relationship, so excuse the fact that I often vent in the form of silly tangents. This one is actually a bit dark, but enjoy I guess. Memories like water droplets, trickling through my mind. If my head were on a hinge, you could open it up and yell down as if it were a well. ...

I'll teach you to ride on the wind's back.
First written on my blogspot on November 16, 2010. A more silly observant rambling :) “So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land!”  In philosophy class my teacher once quoted that to truly live with presence, you must act with the seriousness of a child at play. ...

confront.
First written on my blogspot on July 15, 2010. Think of it as part two from my previous entry. How do I pray? Much like I talk: I ramble. Whether public or in private, within the sanctuary of my subconscious I deliver my innermost desperation to the ultimate confidant. Whether that be Him/Her/They/or It is still somewhat undecided within myself, but the basic idea that “someone is...

intimacy or intimidation?
First written on my blogspot on March 15, 2010. One of my little observant ramblings, enjoy. “Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the staircase.” Philosophy praises the agnostic, or the ignorant non-believer that stands by the mindset of “I don’t know”. The idea of relying on faith alone is both something I’ve always admired...

fun with shadows.
First written on my blogspot on March 3, 2010. I consider it a sign of luck when suddenly the shadow of a flying bird soars above my own, sketched out perfectly on a canvas of pavement. I pause as suddenly the bird comes into view above my head and smile as it floats on with little effort but much grace. Sometimes my mind will wander as I press on, imagining the shadow of that bird flying...

sunspots on her ear
First written on my blogspot on January 24, 2010. Inspired by an ex, but I will always adore this entry. I had a dream that I was on the tip of that dandelion you blew, making a wish that made me smile. The feathered tidbits flew into the sky and danced and tickled your face, and I landed on your ear. I went down as if on a slide, playing connect-the-dots with your three cute sunspots. As...

playful litter
First written on my blogspot on November 24, 2009. plastic bags dance like gypsies in eddies, circling the same old cobble stones in a native fashion. the wind is feeling playful today. giving the bag a full breath of air, it is finally able to ascend into the skiesand out of its continuous routine. trees moan and hiss, shaking their branches in an attempt toensnare or intimidate. cars...

throw a stranger
First written on my blogspot on October 22, 2009. throw a stranger …an unexpected smile. You are my favorite book. Most people accept you only as your cover; Beautiful, yes, but there’s so much more on the inside. I read a new page everyday And sometimes I’m tempted to look ahead. I am your patient audience, So I won’t spoil the ending. I promise to keep your...

drink it up.
First written on my blogspot on September 20, 2009. little girl, are you real? are your words as genuine as they sound, can your eyes really be that soft? my heart feels bound, my lungs are gasping aloft. arms go outstretched, ligaments no longer distort, a smile curls around thin lips, and she breathes on my neck. a shiver, a convulsion, a paroxysm of utter glee. I’ve never been so...

liquid vision.
First written on my blogspot on September 1, 2009. Why does the Earth stand still when a man cries? Not a boy, but a man with a hollow heart. His body hunches and contorts as a rebellion is born. These salty tears are the sign of an ultimate low. So dim those lights and draw the curtains; He already feels like the whole world has their eyes on him. In this moment, the male population is...

Cheers!
HI-HO. ♥ Name’s Ash. Started out using my blogspot account first but had heard from friends that this was a sweet site for posting. What should you expect from me? Well, I’m artsy out the wazoo. I love writing and all its forms, but now and then I’m known to pick up drawing or go on random photoshoots. Perhaps this will be mostly a site for my photographs what with all the...
